About Alternative Business Capital
Alternative Business Capital was formed to provide alternative access to capital for the small and medium enterprise SME) market. Our principle, Charles Williams is the currrent chairman of SCORE Coastal Chapter 285, in Charleston, SC. He discover that many entrepreneurs counseled, could not qualify for a business loan, were rejected by their local bank, or applied at the wrong financial institution. People who applied and were successful, end up placing a second mortgage on their homes or had co-signers who placed their credit and homes on the line. This is NOT a business loan. It is a personal loan using all your personal assets.
Furthermore, some of these business people and their co-signers end up losing their homes or filing bankruptcy when their business had a temporary downturn because the banks were not flexible with the company. They simply do not understand how business work! We discovered not only was it happening in Charleston, but throughout the country.
Most banks will not lend to businesses that need a loan, even if it's Guaranteed by the SBA. They do not understand how the SBA work. However, they need to make good loans in order to stay in business.
